In my Free Time I Enjoy Going to the Countryside!

Monday 25th May

Hello boys and girls! How are you?
What did we do yesterday?
We started listening to Paula telling us who Alexander Graham Bell was and how happy Coby is! He met the inventor of the telephone!!! Can you imagine living without mobiles and phones?
After that, we reviewed what people are doing with a round of questions and answers.
Is number two studying?
Yes, she is. She’s studying for a maths exam.
Is number seven playing the piano?
No, he isn’t. He’s cooking pasta.
Is number three reading an e-mail?
Yes, he is. He is reading an e-mail at work.
Is number ten talking on the phone?
Yes, he is. He’s talking to a friend.
Is number eleven washing the dishes?
Yes, he is. He’s washing the dishes in the kitchen.
Is number ten taking a shower?
No, she isn’t. She’s playing the piano.

Then, we had a ‘Talk show’.
We took turns to be guests and presenters. Yesterday’s topic was ‘Tell us about your free time’
·         Do you enjoy going to the countryside?
·         How often do you go on picnics?
·         What do you sit on when you go to the countryside?
·         Do you go fishing?
·         Do you enjoy walking in the forest?
·         Do you like climbing trees?
·         How often do you go swimming in rivers or lakes?
·         Do you like looking at plants and flowers?
Remember that we have already studied this:
After the verbs love, like, enjoy, hate, we finish the verb in ‘-ing’
After ‘go’ we also use the verb ending in ‘-ing’
In my free time.
I enjoy going to the countryside in my free time. I sometimes go on picnics. I usually sit on the grass but I sometimes sit on a blanket. I never go fishing but I often go swimming in the river. I love climbing trees and looking at plants and flowers. My mother doesn’t like looking at me when I climb the trees. She says it’s dangerous. But it’s so funny!
And to finish our lesson, we had Flipped class! Only Paula prepared
something for that class. What about the rest?
For homework, don’t forget to do the exercises on p. 59. Exercises 4 & 5.
