Monday 23rd
February
Hello kids! How are
you?
We started the week with
Eva telling us about her trip to Germany with Coby! They ate
sausages. They visited
Berlin and saw
the Brandenburg gate and the Berlin Wall. Eva’s parents drank beer. And we also saw the
map of Germany and the German flag.
Yesterday was David’s
birthday! Happy birthday, David!
So, David’s birthday is on 22nd February.
Remember
that we use ordinal numbers to talk about order and also, for dates.
What floor do you live on? I live on the 1st floor.
What floor do you live on? I live on the 1st floor.
She lives on the 3rd floor.
He lives on the ground floor.
He lives on the ground floor.
How do we say the
dates?
We write
|
We
say

|
The

Then, we continued
talking about the weather.
·
What was the weather like on Monday morning?
·
What was the weather like on Wednesday morning and afternoon?
·
What days of the week
were cloudy?
·

We learnt the past of

When were you born? I was born on 20th June 2004.
And we finished the
class with the second stage of our project: Imagine.
We made clouds of information and classified our sentences in groups: school, academy, neighbourhood and other things.
There are things we cannot do anything about. For example, getting new
computers for David’s school. He said that they could sell the old ones and
with donations from the people they could buy new ones. But that has to be done
at his school. The rest of the group goes to a different school and they aren’t
going to give money for David’s new computers!
Marcos wrote that his car is small. Sorry Marcos but we can’t do
anything about it! You’ll have to tell your parents!
Then, two ideas appeared. Paula and Silvia said that they don’t like the
dirt in the street or dogs droppings. Paula said we could clean the park.
Somebody said that we could watch people with dogs and if we see them picking
up their dogs droppings, we could give them a prize; a certificate or a sweet.
So, this is what you voted to do. Next day we are going to decide how we
are going to do this!
