Monday 6th
April
Welcome back!
Oops! Somebody is
having extra holidays…Aren’t you, Eva?
It was nice to see you again on
Monday. Yes, I know. Holidays are always short! Make a last effort because this
is the last term of this school year! Come on!!!
First, you told me
about your Easter. After that, we revised a lot of things!
We started revising ordinal numbers.
We played a board game. We have
to throw the dice and move as many places as the number we get. Then, we have
to make a sentence using the ordinal number on that particular square. You
could make up
(invent) the sentences.
Remember that we use ordinal numbers for:
·
‘Order’ / position. I’m the twenty- first
(21st) student in my class
according to my surname.
·
Dates. Today is 8th April,
2015 (we say: ‘Today is the eighth of April
two thousand and fifteen)
·
Floors. My cousin lives on the third (3rd) floor.
Then, we revised
daily activities with another board game.
Remember that we use present simple for routines
(daily activities).
Apart from the board game we
added a set of cards with the symbols −, +,?
If you get a ?, it means you make a question related to the picture. For example, ‘Go to bed’ Does he
go to bed? ‘Have breakfast’ does he have
breakfast? etc.
And we finished the
class revising appearance and playing ‘Guess who’.
The first question you asked was:
Is it
a boy/girl? Yes,
he is. No he isn’t.
Then you asked about their
appearance.
Has he got a beard? Yes,
he has. No, he hasn’t.
Has s/he got a monocle? Yes, s/he has. No, s/he
hasn’t.
Has s/he got glasses? Yes, s/he has. No, s/he
hasn’t.
Has s/he got long /short/ blond
/fair /black / straight /curly hair? Yes, s/he has. No, s/he hasn’t.
Has he got a moustache? Yes, he has. No,
he hasn’t. etc.
